ICOJ Relief team visited evacuation center in Yamagata Print E-mail

The 5th relief team of Islamic Circle of Japan visited Yamagata evacuation center in Yamagata Ken.Yamagata Sports Centre has 800 evacuees from Tsunami hit area including childrenand women.On April 3,a team of 35 volunteers led by Assistant Seceretry General & member shoura,Br.Fyaz u Din started their journey from Babul Islam Masjid,Oyama.They were carrying Lunch for 1000 persons which the volunteers prepared in the Masjid campus.Besides lunch they also carried with them various essential goods which were requested by the organisers of shelter house in Yamagata.A 4 ton truck loaded with the essential items including 1200 Nan,disposable crockery,noodles,rice,1200 boiled eggs,choclates,biscuits,chips for children,1000 pcs of Hokiro for heating,Diapers for babies and old aged persons,undergarments(underwears,undershirts) for children and adults,1000 socks,tooth brushes,tooth paste,towels,1000 bottles of Green tea etc.Upon arrival the volunteers served lunch to the inhabitants and distributed the essential items which they were carrying with them.

Relief team 4 delivers relief goods in Ishinomaki Print E-mail

As the relief cell of Islamic Circle of Japan is continously engaged in relief work since the M9 ,Great Eastern earthquake hit Japan`s north east .So far 8 teams have visted various shelter houses and delivered essential goods besides serving hot meals to evacuees,prepared by ICOJ volunters in the evacuation centers .

On March 27,a team of 12 volunters traveled to Ishinomaki city.The team prepared meals in the parking area of Army Headquarters and served hot curry and Nan to the inhabitants there.The area is without water ,electricity ,gas and other essential goods.It was snowing while the during the teams visit to the area.

As the relief work is in progress more reports will follow.

3rd ICOJ relief mission visited Hamanasu Hinanjo in Fukushima

Islamic Circle of Japan continues to lend helping hand to the victims of M9 Great Eastern Earthquake which shook Miyagi Ken and nearby northern areas Japan on March 11,2011.As the reports of various teams are coming in on daily basis a team of workers of ICOJ visited Hamanasu shelter house in Fukushima Ken.The Relief team was carrying ingreidents for meals & various essential items including Rice,noodles,disposable crockery(glasses,cups,plates,bowels etc),undergarmentsundershirts,underware),jackets,socks,stoves,candles,drawing books for kids,toys,choclates,chips,biscuits for kids,Noori,Onigiri of various types, Mineral water,green tea,tooth brushes,tooth pastes,towels,tissues,wet tissues,miso soup,hot plates,pots,utensils,Furi Kake,Tomoto ketchup,Tuna fish cans,Margo fish cans,pampers,medicine etc for evacuees .Like during other relief missions workers prepared meals for 650 inhabitants of the shelter house which included 300 men,300 women & 50 children.Evacuees in the camp were served Nan & curry in dinner .The team stayed in the camp from Duhar(noon prayers time) till Fajar(early moring next day) in the camp.Incidently ex Prime minister of Japan Abe San visted the camp while ICOJ relief mission was camping in the Hamanasu Shelter house.On request of the team Abe San distributed the gifts,toys ,note books among the children of the camp which the relief team was carrying along with them for the distribution among the children in the shelter house.

  • 17 member team stayed in Arina Hinanjo(evacuation centre) in worst hit area where relief work is effected due to radiation scare.

A 17 member relief team headed by Br.Jamil Ahmed,member shoora of Islamic Circle of Japan visted arina Hinanjo in soma Shi,Fukushima Ken.Not many relief teams were able to reach Soma Shidue to radiation scare as it is just 45 kms away from Fukushima Di-Ichi power plant.the local ward office had specially contacted & invited ICOJ to visit for relief work in this area .This team was accompanied by the relief team of ICNA North America which visited Japan for relief work in Tsunami hit areas .

On March 18, Fri day night,relief team left from Hira Masjid ,Gyotoku,Chiba Ken with material to prepare meals in the evacuation centre besides other essential items including Rice, Noodles,disposable crockery,undergarments for men,women & children( which included socks,undershirts,underwears),candles,stoves,mineralwater,Miso soup,onigiri,biscuits,choclates,greentea,toothbrushes,toothpaste,towels,tissue,wet tissues,drawing books for children,toys,pots,utensils,Furi Kake,Tomoto Ketchup,Tuna fish canes,Magro fish cans,pampers for children & eold aged,Jackets for Kids & elders,Medicine etc.

The Arina Hinanjo is located in front of Shiyoksho and presently around 300 evacuees are putting up there including men,women & children.Upon arrival ICOJ workers prepared lunch in the temporory shelter itself & served hot meals(chicken curry & Nan) to all the evacuees.Later the esential items listed above were distributed among all.Team then moved ahead to other camps .

Islamic Circle of Japan is actively engaged in relief work distributing food and other essential goods to evacuees in various evacuation centers. In combined effort with Al-Khair Foundation UK,first Relief team headed by Ameer e Circle, Br.Amanat Ali stayed in the evacuation center in Ishinomaki city & distributed breakfast to around 1000 evacuees camping in two local schools.

The relief team stayed in the camp itself and served lunch & dinner which was prepared by volunteers of ICOJ in the evacuation centre itself in order to serve hot meal to the evacuees. Lunch & dinner was served in the camp to around 600 people for 2 days while as breakfast was served among 1000 persons.In addition essential items including rice, noodles,mineral water,coffee,stoves,candles,disposable crockery,toys,undergarment etc were distributed among needy in the camps. The relief work is going on & teams are visiting various camps in different evacuation centers .

Overnight Tarbiyah program of Japanese Wing of ICOJ in progress in Hira Masjid,Gyotoku Print E-mail

The overnight monthly Tarbiyah Programme of Japanese wing of ICOJ is being held in Hira Masjid Gyotoku.Programme started on Saturday afternoon .In the first session Head of Japanese Wing,Shaykh Abu Hakeem Ahamed Maeno delivered lectures in Japanese language .In the second session after Salat ul Isha,a panel discussion is in progress on the topic "Tsunami in Tohoku area & our responsibility as Muslims".The discussion is being conducted by Shaykh Maeno and participated by three Japanese new Muslims Br. Jaffer, Br.Ahamed & Br.Ismael Hirano.Br.Hirano embraced Islam just three weeks back.الحمد للله.The programme is being broadcasted live through website of ICOJ. The programme will continue till Sunday,March 27.

Ameer e Circle has expressed grief and sympathy
Islamic Circle of Japan to collect relief and distribute among victims


After devastating earthquake followed by Tsunami Japan is yet to recover from the shock .Around 2700 persons are feared to be killed or missing.Miyagii Ken has been worst hit .
Islamic Circle of Japan extends sympathy to everyone effected and victims .
Ameer e Circle in his message has expressed grief and prayed to Allah to shower his mercy and safeguard everyone.

Islamic Circle of Japan has set up a relief cell and shall be collecting donations in cash and kind which shall be distributed among the victims of effected  areas .Individuals can send their donations by cash to following  post office accounts .
